Patrons rave about the crispy and perfectly cooked fish, highlighting the light batter that complements the fish without overwhelming it. The chips receive high praise too—crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, they pair well with the mains. The generous portion sizes are frequently mentioned in reviews, with many diners surprised by the value for money. The self-service salt and vinegar station has become a unique feature, allowing guests to customize their meals to their liking. Friendly service is another recurring theme; visitors appreciate how swiftly the staff serve them, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. The dog-friendly policy resonates well with pet owners, making it a perfect stop for families and dog walkers alike.

Most Disliked

Some guests report experiencing long wait times during peak hours, particularly on busy Fridays when the cafe reaches full capacity at 5 PM. Although the food is generally praised, a few diners mention that not every dish meets the high standards set by the fish and chips, feeling some items could be improved. Occasionally, customers note that this popular spot can feel crowded, which may detract from the casual ambiance, especially during busy lunch hours. Accessibility can also present challenges when the cafe is at peak capacity, occasionally leading to cramped seating, especially during family gatherings.

Lovely place, great food. Everything is made in-house and the chips are delicious. Service is fantastic and they have lots of foot traffic - clearly for a reason!

Fantastic fish and chips. Really welcoming and quick to serve us. We both had the cod and chips. Very nice and really hot. We liked the fact that the salt and vinegar were self service so you could have as much (or little) as you liked

The best fish and chips I have had in a long time. The chips were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle and the fish was cooked perfectly, not too oily and not too dry. I ate all of it. Absolutely recommended.

The queue outside is a clear indication of this cafes popularity, and it didn't disappoint. Excellent food at fair prices. Highly recommended.
